Blogging Basics for Novice Bloggers like me
Before I started this blog, I’ve been blogging about my personal life in social communities like Friendster, Myspace and Multiply. Yes I did go through that stage.
I would blog for a while, sometimes for a week or two, then some months would pass before I follow it up with another post. I lost interest quite fast because in my mind, writing my thoughts is not as important as the things I need to do everyday. After a year, I realized that writing, no matter how ordinary it is I’m writing of seems to be, is important. It helps exercise my brain and I get to practice my English as well as my writing skills. Most of all it helps me keep notes of things I learn and think of each day which is good since I usually forget stuff I already learned when I stop doing it.
So to remind myself, and maybe help some new bloggers in the process, I decided to take note of the things I learn about blogging. The terms, the processes and even the technical stuff so I would be able to remember how to do it. It would be sort of a tutorial which I’ll call, “ShatteredPixie’s Blogging Basics” I know it doesn’t sound so original but hey its my personal experience so I think it counts.
Below is the rough outline I have at the moment of the topics I would be writing of:
1.) Free blogs vs. Self-hosted blogs
2.) Self-hosted blog How To’s
3.) Common Questions (like where do I find this required tag etc.)
I hope other bloggers starting out or other people planning on starting their blog find it useful and a good basic reference for the simple technical stuffs they might encounter in setting up their blogs . I’ll be starting on the articles and post each one as soon as they’re done.

Hey meeya. ^^ Thanks for visiting. I hope it does, since I had some hard times finding online some of the answers to my own questions when I set this blog up.
