What does a Computer Game System Require?
Almost every system which eventually happens has a requirement procedure to get started. Undue of the size of the requirement, the basic need is to fulfill the potential in order to make the system work. According to science, any kind of system could have any type of requirement to get started. For example, a plant always needs Carbon Dioxide and Water from the surrounding to carry on photosynthesis.
There is somewhat the same logic in computer video gaming. In video gaming, the requirements of the system that you are going to use to play games must fulfill certain requirements laid by the game. Such requirements are based on the capacity of the system device, say console, for task performing and to know what game the user wants to play.
One of the important features that a computer system must support is the compatibility feature. Most of the game need a compatible device to be played that could read their software easily. On a note, video resolution clarity differs from one monitor to another. With these requirements, the user comes to know as which is the best monitor that would enhance the video quality of the game.
What is the need for a certain requirement for a console to play the game? The game software is such designed for the latest technology surroundings. In case they are not compatible with the game systems, there are great chances that the nature of game would be hugely affected. These certain requirements set by the game are not for the game developer or the console manufacturer. These are for the benefit of the user in an effort to have the best quality video resolution output from the game and system.
Requirements are actually computer specifications that each device must possess. Basically, each game may require certain specifications to the device they must be played with. The game may require the following from the computer:
Processor’s Speed - the speed for the processor is one of the crucial system requirements a certain game may ask your computer to possess. This said speed will determine how fast your computer will act or execute a decision. Since, games are all executable programs, speed of the processor is very important. Processor speed has a unit of megahertz (MHz) and gigahertz (GHz). The unit megahertz are smaller unit than gigahertz. More precisely, a gigahertz is equal to a thousand megahertz. High-speed processors can run any game equal to its speed and lower but slower processors may not run games with higher speed requirements.
Random Access Memory (RAM) - this is the memory which is present inside the computer system. This memory is used for the storage of that data which is continuously needed by the processor system. Mainly all of the computer systems available in the market have RAM around 64MB. And most of the games require RAM around this only. But, some of the games have a higher RAM requirement that may be up to 128MB. This is not a big issue as the RAM could be easily upgraded to higher memory capacity.
VRAM - VRAM is the short for Video Read Access Memory. It performs the function of providing maximum possible resolution for the computer system. It works in association with the video card. Video cards help providing the system with visual commands. VRAM is the memory that is on temporary basis and the graphical information is stored in it which is later on provided to the video and the processor system.
Disk Storage Capacity - it means the space that is available for storage of important files and related information. It is measured in Megabytes as units or simply MB and the capacity for the storage and playing of games increases as the disc space increases. It is also very easy to get space of the hard drive upgraded. Higher memory terms could be measured in terms of Gigabytes (GB).
Speed of CD ROM - it is not always true that the games installed in the computer system require a storage disc all the time. Many of the companies perform up gradation of programs by using discs, which is later added on into the game by the reinstallation process of the game. The installation procedure is faster if the speed of CD ROM is faster. CD ROM is also used in copyright protection of the game. CD ROM performs the task well of playing the game programs that have equal or lower speed requirements.
